Save the Date Announcements
Once my wedding date was fixed, my family and I realized we had about 6-7 months until the BIG DAY. Since the wedding would take place in a different country, my Mom thought it would be best to send an announcement package right away.
She said we could send out formal invitations later, but at least some sweets announcing the date for now. This would give our relatives and family friends enough time to plan a trip to Pakistan if they were willing.
I started by creating “Save the Date” notices for my summer wedding using Canva. I then pasted the template multiple times on a cardstock paper and had them printed. I cut out these tiny rectangles using fancy scissors that gave it more designed edges. My Dad then distributed Pakistani Barfi (sweets) in cellophane bags and tied it with different coloured ribbons. The “Save the Date” card was then stapled onto the ribbon and taped against the bag. My Brother and Sister then drove to each house to deliver it personally.
It was an enjoyable family task where we all created and then distributed theses unique announcement packages together.
