Wedding planning is a stressful and daunting task as it is. Now having to plan it from a different continent seemed even more intimidating.
I was living in Canada and my fiancé had moved back to Pakistan. He was able to arrange his side of the event, taste test at the halls, scope locations and attend sherwani and suit fittings, etc. For me, however, I was dependent on trusted relatives (extremely grateful for them), video calls and group chats in order to arrange the grand event.
Besides the usual wedding jitters, there were worries in regards to distance, planning and having all my relatives present for the event. In this blog, I share my behind-the-scenes moments for wedding planning from abroad. I will also share DIY projects made specific for the occasion. As well as the Grand Dholki my family and I hosted in my hometown for those relatives and friends who were unable to attend the event in Lahore.
